Ingredients
- Chicken - 500gm
- onion - 1 medium sized sliced
- oil - 3tbsp
- salt - as per taste
- turmeric - 1 pinch
Grind to paste
- Garlic cloves - 15 nos
- Ginger - small piece (25%of garlic quantity)
- peppercorns - 12 nos
- coriander leave - 1 small bunch
- cinnamon - 1 small piece ( I use the cinnamon and clove powder)
- cloves - 3-4
- Green chillies - 5(you can also add chillipowder and reduce green chillies)
- Grated coconut - 2tbsp
- tomato - 1/2 small tomato
Method
- heat oil in a vessel , add sliced onion fry, then add chicken , turmeric powder and fry for 5 mins , cover the lid and cook for 5 mins.
- Add grinded masala ,salt and fry for sometime.
- Add water (required to cover chicken) and cover lid and cook till chicken is cooked on medium flame.After every 5 mins keep mixing.
- once you can see oil separated on the surface of the curry and chicken is cooked , remove the lid and cook on medium flame till it reaches a gravy consistency.
- serve with chapathis and rice.
