White sauce Pasta


This is kids favorite dish :) All kids would love to eat creamy pasta :)
After many experiment of white sauce preparation I liked the taste of the below mentioned recipe of white sauce.This recipe is a combination of recipe from my friend and a magazine.



Ingredients

For white sauce
  • maida - 1.5 tbsp
  • milk - based on sauce consistensy
  • butter - 25 gm / 2  tbsp
  • bay leaf  - 1
  • clove - 2
  • onion - 1 piece ( if onion flavour required )
For pasta
  • pasta - 3/4th cup any shape( I prefer delmote pasta )
  • capsicum - 1/2 cup cut  (Different colors we white sauce recipe is a combination oill be good)
  • veggies - 1 cup cut ( brocolli/ babycorn / zuchini / carrot ( any of your choice))
  • mixed herbs - as per taste ( oregano,thyme, red chilli flakes)optional
  • salt - as per taste
  • black pepper powder optional
  • butter - to fry veggies
Method

For white sauce

  • Fry maida in a pan on low flame till raw smell goes ( it should not turn into brown color).
  • keep aside.melt the butter on low flame and add maida slowly to the butter .Keep stiring for 2 mins.
  • Then start adding milk little by little and stirring.Cook for 2-3 mins
  • put the bay leaf,clove, onion (if using) .
  • Let this mixture to cool.
  • remove the bay leaf, clove, onion before mixing with pasta
Next step
  • Boil the pasta as mentioned on the pack.( boil water put the pasta , cook till pasta is done and strain the water.If required wash the pasta in cold water).Keep aside.
  • veggies - boil baby corn and carrot if using. then fry the veggies for 3-4 mins & remove from flame.
  • Add the boiled pasta and veggies to white sauce and mix (don't add all the pasta at once add little by little based on the quantity of the white sauce)
  • sprinkle pepper powder and mixed herbs and mix and serve hot.
